Mission Statement
The mission of The Psychological Channel LLC is to provide free and open access
to the communication of information regarding psychology. Our goal is to offer
the most objective, reliable, responsible and accurate mental health information
on the web. We are dedicated to providing content on a wide array of psychological
and mental health topics.

Be aware, however, that information on The Psychological Channel or any other
web site should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health care.

Content Policies and Procedures
To the best of our ability content selection for Blogs and Psychology Videos is based on a
sound understanding of the science of psychology and when possible based on published
information in peer-reviewed Psychological Journals, however alternative views will be
offered at time to provide free and open communication on particular topics. Also some
content will be offered based on public interest in a topic or as editorial for current
event topics that may not be peered reviewed. The Psychological Channel will, to the
best of its ability, not accept any content that it believes to be unreliable, unproven,
or dangerous in nature, however, The Psychological Channel makes no guarantee that viewing
any content will be free of negative affects on an individual. Furthermore, for the sake
of free and open communication The Psychological Channel will allow opinions in the Message
Board and Research Blog sections of the site of which it does not endorse or necessarily agree.
The Psychological Channel will allow posting of information that does not reflect the beliefs
or views of The Psychological Channel to encourage open and free communication about a topic.
The Psychological Channel does, however, maintain the right to remove any postings that it
finds inappropriate. We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express their
point of view, but we do not permit speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race
or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation,
gender identity. When such speech is brought to the attention of The psychological Channel
we will work to delete the offensive content as quickly as possible.
